Coleman is Lancashire-born. Coleman was head of the class in the Arnold School, Blackpool and was awarded straight A's on her A level. When Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale role, she said that she regrets that she did not have an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman was a part of a theatre company, In Yer Space while in school. They performed at the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. She won an award for her performance and the production was also well-received. While auditioning for drama school, Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman received two nominations for Awards in 2007. The award was for as the Best Newcomer of 2007 at British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. It was the British Soap Awards 2009 nominated her in both categories: Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine as well as the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on March 21, 2012 that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other characters have left the series. Moffat picked her for the role due to her ability to work alongside Smith and also because she spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she has participated in TV and film projects. She has been much more prominent on TV than in films. Eva has had many TV parts, however Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami have stood out.
