Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. She has released more than 20 studio albums. Her music is categorized as folk, alternative and rock but she also draws influences of jazz and hip-hop. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as a feminist icon, and Grammy-winning artist is considered the founder of DIY music. She was among the very first musicians to start their own labels in 1990. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23 1970 she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco, who had made acquaintance while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother hails from Montreal as is her father, who is Italian origins. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors. This song was released on DiFranco's 1995 sixth album Not a Pretty Girl.
